I find zillions of wav sound files at discount stores like Best Buy.
You can get CD's with 2,000 sounds on them for about 5 bucks. I have
three different discs so I have a sound file for just about
everything. Windows has a sound recorder in the accessories folder
which can be used to play the sounds, reduce or increase volume or
delete parts of the sound files. Then I just save them to a sound
effects folder. I find this to be about the easiest way. Sometimes
just listening to the various sounds gives me ideas for movies.
