Thanks for your comments!
Could you tell me what you mean by "the images bitmap out a bit"? Not sure
I understand. :)
As for the scrolling menu in the crew section - that is (slightly modified)
Branden Hall work (hopefully we credited him properly). He posted the fla
here some time ago, though I don't still have the url.

David,
Really great site. It loaded plenty fast. The navigation is great, too. It's
really nice to be able to move the navigation out of the way -- it gives you
more screen real estate and gives the user more control. The images bitmap
out a bit, but I suppose that's to be somewhat expected at a lo res in
flash.
I certainly don't think you need to be chided because the joan of arc site
also had a hanging shield. I've seen similar navigations in Director
projects (albeit done a bit differently), which just goes to show that there
are no new ways to navigate...just different designs and venues.
That said, I would like to know a bit about where you came up with the code.
I'm especially interested in the timeline piece in the crew section. I have
a good idea how to do it, but from what I can tell you need to create a
crosshair to attach to the mouse to get the mouse position -- as if there's
no way to get the location of the mouse directly. A number of people have
posted questions on how this is done. Could you point some of us in the
right direction -- any resource, book or site, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Travis
