So, what I am hearing is that Flash4 is not inherently capable of handling what i am suggesting
... but Swift and Generator are. Is this correct?

Actually I have heard some bad things about generator. Namely that it's a beheamoth of a
processor/RAM hog that doesn't like to share with IIS, Site Server/other server-side apps. Does
anyone have experience there? Of these two options (again presuming Flash4 can't do this) which
would be the best route?
