Jeff - As far as I know Jeff SQL (Standard Query Language) has been
around a long time , and is used for many platforms not just unix based
systems. I started using it in '93 within Oracle on a Unix based system, it
is used widely in Microsoft applications such as Access and you can even do
sql queries within excel. But I would have to say it is one of the most
widely used languages dor data base queries.
