Actually, John hasn't been blocked.  He has posted to my Flashcoders list

(which similarly bans all non-text/plain emails) within the last month or

so. He has probably simply been busy with the Allaire/MM merger.


Blocking HTML emails is a smart move on the part of Chinwag as it keeps the

digests readable and helps curb the possibilities of spam/viruses hitting

the list.  If a companies mail server is forcing everthing to HTML that is

*their* problem, not this, or any mailing list's.  It is simply

irresponsible to by default make all emails rich text.
