The simpliest way to use and organized MC's is to have the first frame
blank with a stop action. Then you can have as many MC's on the stage
at once with nothing showing. Label the next frame of each MC and
tell target the MC that you want to play by telling it to go that
frame and play or stop. For more complex movies I will put each MC in
a keyframe of its own on the main time line. Sometimes it works
better depending on what I am doing to then tell the movie to go to a
frame which has the actions to target the MC. This is helpful say if
you want a button to revert to a graphic state in that frame.

I agree with many of you about using MC's. My movies can be very
complex animations but the main time line is one scene with maybe a
dozen frames or less. Another advantage is if I want to use an
animation from one movie in another it is a simple process of dragging
the MC out of the library into the other movie library.

Where I am hitting
