Have you tried doing frequent Save As's, rather than Saves? It will help
conserve memory. As with some other programs, Saving merely takes the
original file and records all the acts (of the user) that have been
performed on the original file, and tacks them onto the original file. Save
As eliminates any record of acts that do not contribute to the final result.
Here's a simple test of this: Open a new file. Then, simply draw a rectangle
on the stage. Now, for 10 rounds, click on the rectangle with the arrow tool
to select/highlight it, then click elsewhere on the stage to deselect it.
Use Save to save the file, then use Save As to save the file with a
different name. I just did this, and the difference in the sizes of the
files is 13,824 bytes vs. 8192 bytes.
