something that'll make a smaller sound file or support for midis is a must
in my personal opinion. beatniks cool, but i won't demand another plug-in
download on top of shockwave and there is that doesn't work with msie
problem (or is that fixed now?)... and i thought no shockwave for unix
(thanks MM!) was bad enough :).

YES! please :). I was rather shocked the first time I pulled down the
file menu looking for something like 'get text' to discover it wasn't
there.

I'm not so worried about accessibility (least I found 'em), but that
'narrower'
kerning setting is awful :p... i often want text kerned to a smaller amount,
but there's no inbetween options at all. I have similar problems with line
spacing, but it doesn't seem as bad... at least there's -1 even if it won't
do
-1.5 (what is the default line spacing in flash? seems like mine is set at 2
which seems sorta silly).

flash'll wrap if you set the text box size first and then enter the text...
or am i misunderstanding what you're asking for?
i'd die for a spellchecker, but that's probably more than i can hope for,
but if i have to spellcheck externally, we *really* need the ability to
import text :).

<nod> that would make the hand tracing a lot easier (cheers for my new wacom
tablet tho :) At times I feel like flash has some of the nicest
drawing/painting
options I've seen (smooth, complete, and ignoring gaps in fills) and
sometimes
am just boggled at how hard simple things are. The options for lines for
example. Couldn't the shift key provide a full fledged horizontal, vertical
or 45 deg. line like it does in almost every other program? (instead of the
snap
to grid thing), and how come there are no options for lines with arrows on
the
ends? Customized lines don't seem to have too many options (basically it
seems like you can get what's already there, unless I'm missing something),
and does checking the 'square corners' on lines work at all? i can't seem to
make it do that.

thanks, and i agree :)
