Hi Michael:

I tried this tutorial several weeks ago, but since you posted it, I thought
I would try it again.
Here are some comments:

Your tutorial is well written, especially at the beginning. I thought, oh
yes, this is going to be easy! :) but no...I ran immediately into some
problems, even though I was careful to follow the instructions.

After drawing the triangle, you say to move it to the left. I drew my
triangle on the left so I moved it towards center stage. You do not mention
that the triangle takes on a grey mesh appearance because it is selected. I
was alarmed by this the first time until I read a little elsewhere.
Initially I thought it was a bug in my video card or in the software (you
never know with computers!)

After putting in the second key frame and getting the triangle to move, my
screen displays the rather quick and jerky motion of the triangle ( yes I
know it is meant to be this way) but after it makes its move the timeline
moves off the key frame and the triangle takes on the "selected look" again.
Should I ignore this?

After making the triangle a symbol for the library, and seeing the little
triangle icon therein, the screen flashes, the triangle disappears and I am
left with a tiny "x" in the center of the page. Also at this point I do not
see my key frames, so I am stuck! There is no sixth frame to click upon.

Tim

Here's a simple introductory tutorial I wrote for Webmonkey:

A more advanced one is on the works.
