    Im sure there's lots of great books.  I have about ten myself!  I started with the 'ol JavaScript for Dummies though.  That and a plethora of Java Script sites that have plenty of tutorials and code to look at.

If I could just get your opinions on where a non-programmer can learn javascript "really fast" it would be a big help.
