hi tai
i mean your animations are slow are jerky - you may want to
play around with the frame rate and add in a few frames...
the loadtime was good but then we've got a
pretty quick connection :o)
dunno about the bitmap thing - it may be worth a
try
remember that if you don't want users resizing the client
window, make sure you specify the size of the flash window... i was running your
movie in full screen because your flash parameters are set to 100% client
width.

Hi Gavin,
When you say slow do you mean the animations
are slow or the loadtime?
it's all done in flash (no bitmaps), I have
been thinking about changing the orange thing to a bitmap to see if it will
animate any quicker (seems like it has to animate all the different symbols
that I used to create it and so it is a bit jerky) that's the reason I have
it displaying in a small window cause otherwise everyone that looks at the
site would need cray to run it fullscreen
cheers
Tai :)

impressive but slow - have you imported
any bitmaps? that adds a lot to file size when you tween
them

request for comments
Hi Everyone,
I did a redesign of my site over the
weekend and am looking for comments about it.
also I am a bit puzzled by the size
of the movie... all other movies that I have created by duplicating
symbols the movie size would stay almost exactly the same however
with this movie it isn't quite like that... all the symbols are
small, however the frame bytes are what makes up all of the size of
the movie, can anyone explain what frame bytes are? an example of
one of my problems, I have a symbol which is the shadow under the
redish orangeish thing, I put this into a movie symbol and tweened
the alpha and suddenly my movie size had gone from 95k to
114k
cheers
Tai
