Hi all,
"Another option for creating low-bandwidth interactive
animation or graphics for your site is to use a program such as
Macromedia Flash or Shockwave, or Microsoft's Liquid Motion.
These browser plug-ins are going to become more heavily
used as Web developers become aware of their powerful
features: they can pack a load of vector animation and
interaction into just a few kilobytes. Of course, be sure to
include a "Lite" version for older browsers or for viewers that
don't have the necessary plug-ins."
This is quoted from an article 'Site Bandwidth' by Jonathan Brownell
from the member section of Microsoft's Site Builder.
