FLASH: making a text mask?

Hi,

im wondering if this is actually possible,

i wanted to have text animating as a mask over a background image, ie. have a word revealing an image 

behind it, sounds really simple.. or so i thought 

until i actually tried it.

maybe im doing something wrong.

has anyone else tried this??
