Subject: | FLASH: newbie: cascading menu effect |

Hi all,
I have just started exploring Flash 4 and I am trying to create the
cascading menu effect that many sites use. For example, in this diagram:
a b
zzz
zzz
zzz
c d
I was hoping that when the user hovered their mouse over a,b,c, or d, the
area zzz would display different short menus of choices which could then be
clicked to go to different areas of the site.
In searching through the online tutorials and my Flash manuals, what
techniques should I be looking at to achieve this effect? Is each menu that
appears a separate movie that is somehow called by the mouseover?
Thanks very much,
Mike
