FLASH: Checkboxes & Radio Buttons in Forms

Has anyone come up with an alternative for checkboxes and radio buttons when

using flash in forms? Is it simple enough to use a variable on a button with

a value that gets sent to the cgi (or in my case php) file.

Appreciate your help.
