Hi gang.
As the programme co-ordinator (in waiting) of Humber College's
Interactive Multimedia Programme it is one my jobs to help the troops
line up co-op placements.
If you are a web or multimedia development company in Toronto looking
for some extremely competent help please contact me off list for the
details.
Our students are familiar with the latest versions of Flash, Fireworks,
Dreamweaver, Director, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator
and so on. They are taught to work in groups so they are quite used to
project teams. As well, we don't stress the applications in isolation.
The entire programme revolves around choosing the right tools for the
job. This seems to have hit a chord with the industry because our 95 %
of our grads found full time employment within 90 days of graduation in
companies from San Francisco to London, England.
What they are not are "Code Warriors". We leave that to the "Internauts"
in the Internet Management Programme.
To get a sense of what they can do, point your brower to to the School
of Media Studies web site (Flash) at http://www.sms.humberc.on.ca/ .
The site
was designed and developed by our students. Macromedia liked it so much
they use it as an educational example on Shockwave.com. BTW, we are the
only post-secondary Authorized Macromedia Training Centre in Ontario
