Subject: | FLASH: auto detect browsers or let user choose? |

Hi Good People,
I was wondering if anybody had any compelling reasons for why they choose
particular methods for filtering users to appropriate pages.
I noticed some very sophisticated designers simply let the user manually
choose which site to visit...ie..."shocked" or "un shocked".
On the other hand, some of you utilize Java scripts or other means to
automatically detect browsers and filter users to the appropriate page.
Are there situations where one is necessary or preferable to the other?
Or is this a matter of individual tastes?
If anyone is willing to offer up their opinions/thoughts I would appreciate
it!!
Thank you,
