Cheri,
The .fla file is about 3.6MBs in size, so it's somewhat big... I've
uploaded a zipfile (3.1MBs) of it to the same path:

BTW -- I did try varying the # of frames at the beginning of the sound loop
before I posted my question, but that didn't seem to fix it - only added
more space whenver more frames were added...

Hi, Dan. I see what you mean. Not being the audio expert (or any expert
for that matter, <grin>) I would like to ask if you could post the .fla
there for us to download & "dink around with" - I do like to solve puzzles,
but do so better with the file in hand. My inclination is to vary the # of
frames at the start of the scene...or look at the fade-in (or not)
properties of the sound clip, or just generally look around at the file....
