Subject: RE: FLASH: Looping audio stream problem

Marc,

Thanks! That makes perfect sense. I changed my loop to "start" and just
defined how many times it'll loop. I think I can get it to loop
indefinately like I originally wanted with some extra scripting, but at
least now the music loop is seamless.

Thanks again!

Hi Dan,

Flash is not designed to synchronize music in the way you're trying to do.
You can't time the music to take exactly "x" number of frames, go back to
frame one, and expect it to loop smoothly. That's the bad news. The good
news is you can set the sound to loop and the sync type to event or start
and it will NOT add to byte size. That's the beauty of looping a music
symbol.

Setting to "stream" is rarely necessary except when you want to force the
animation to sync to the audio. That is, Flash will drop graphic frames if
necessary to keep up with audio.

Hope this helps.
