I've done this with a text file. I did not use the dollar sign, nor did I
put the variable string in quotes. I did use the instance name of the symbol
that held the text box.

Please contact me directly and I'll send you the files if you like. It works
for a group of text files, and I can dynamically load them in and out of
text frames using buttons.

Subject: FLASH: Loading Variables

I am trying to load simple variables into flash from a php3 file. I
understand this is very simular to ASP so anyone with ASP experience please
help. To start with all I've done is name a simple variable like: $name =
"somebody" in a file named: test_load.php3. I created a text box with it's
variable named "name" then a submit button with: Load Variables
("test_load.php3", 0) as the URL and level for On(Release)

For some reason it's not working. I'm able to succesfully load text files
and also send variables to a php3 file using the get method, but I can't
seem to load varibles into Flash.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated

Thank-you
