There is a way to get it to be smoother. I just did it for a project. What
you require is another movie clip that gets triggered at the end of the
first one.

Example:

On Rollover of button 1, play MovieClip 1
On Rollout of button 1, play Movie Clip 1a (neutral position) (who's
first frame is the same as the end of MovieClip 1)

On Rollover of button 2, play MovieClip 2
On Rollout of button 2, play Movie Clip 2a (neutral position) (who's
first frame is the same as the end of MovieClip 2)

Hope this makes sense. If it doesn't let me know, I'll create a quick
example in Flash and send it to you.
