Well, you just need two parts... what you are actually moving around and

what the user sees...

the invisible MC that you are dragging starts out right on top of the ball

that you appear to be dragging..

Then when you start dragging it, you start up a two frame movie clip that

makes the ball move to the same Y as the invisible MC, but the X is

determined from the good ol' x^2+y^2=r^2 ( you can snag my sqrt for flash

function from FLahslite.net, you will need it)
