Absolutly the best tool for working with web video is Media Cleaner

Pro.

Of the web video formats, QuickTime with sorenson and qdesign music

(esp. if you have the developers ed. of those codecs) makes for

absolutly the best quality, smoothest streaming files. 


Cheaper alt., if you can compress the AVI to indeo 4.4 rather than 5,

is QT Pro, which can open indeo 4.4 AVIs and convert to QT (with the

non-pro versions of sorenson and qdesign, still pretty good).
