Hmmm... could that possibly be because at least one third of Flasher-list
members (and based on private email, growing) are using Macs? Don't you
find it helpful that people bother to designate which platform they're
using, so as to more-easily isolate the problems? By specifying Mac or
Wintathel in the originating post, it actually cuts traffic substantially
by not forcing the helpers to ask that question, does it not?
>"...and I can' seem to make the plugin/browser/preloader/button/MC/

Boy, those sure sound like Flash questions to me.
If the problem is in Flash, whether its Mac or Wintathel, the item is
Flash and Flash related. If you can't stand the traffic of this list,
then there are numerous other lists you can join.
Also, despite your apparent opinion that Mac users are not worthy of your
time, you don't (or at least very rarely) hear Mac users bitch about
Windows-specific issues, so please give us the same courtesy. Would you
like to be treated the same on other lists that are 80%-90%+ Mac-based,
as are some of the hottest Photoshop lists, Flash lists, GoLive lists,
Dreamweaver lists, etc?
You may also wish to attempt to deploy filters, either by authors you
identify as Mac users or email that contains the word 'Mac'. Of course,
since we Mac users also post plenty of relevent and useful contributions
that are platform-agnostic, you might just miss out on things useful to
you, too, but that's up to you.
>But maybe split this list up somehow (mac users - PC users)...or even boys
>and girls for all i care...
Yes, I see your point. Let's split up Mac and Wintathel, then by Flash 2,
3 and 4, then by OS versions, then by Dreamweaver, GoLive and Frontpage,
then by processor speed and number of monitors used, then by connections
speed, then by boys and girls, then by age, then by IQ. . .
Pretty soon we can all be on our very own list and not have any traffic
at all to bother ourselves with. . . (;
Cheers
