Subject: | FLASH: it doesn't work to copy/paste something at *exactly* the sameplace |

Hello,
I have a Symbol that is the last frame of a shape tween in a MC. Now I also
have the same graphic in this Symbol created as a Button because I want to
be able to use the different button states for different actions. (I did
this since it's not possible to have this shape tween as part of a Button)
My question is: what is the correct way to copy and paste the *exact*
position of a graphic from a frame of the MC to the main timeline so that I
can put the Button in there at *exactly* the same place as the Symbol?
Because I've tried Copy/Paste in Place, but it doesn't work. The ruler
origins are different...the MC and the main timeline origins are not the
same. And I couldn't find any place to reset the origin (like you can in
other software)??????
Is this even possible (if it makes sense!)?
I realize that I can just add a new frame right after the final frame of
the shape tween. And in this frame, I can put the Button.
But it bothers me that I can't copy/paste in the same place.
And it bothers me that the ruler origins are different.
Thanks for reading and helping...
Carla
