Hi folks;
I am a long time Authorware user trying to find my way around Flash.
I have a swf file containing a set of rollover buttons.
I have converted these buttons to movie symbols so I can target variable
loads form a txt file on the server.
It seems to work fine, but I am having another problem.
I coded an interface in Authorware to rewrite the text file.
If a browser has loaded the page that has the swf file embedded, and at
the same time I use my admin interface to delete and re-write the text
file, access is denied.
If I go to the server and use Explorer to delete the file, no problem.
If I unload the running page, and then delete the file with the admin
tool, no problem.
I think the swf file is constantly reloading the text file.
How can I ensure that the variables text file is loaded once, and then
released?
Thanks
Dave
