I'm not sure which links you've clicked on, but I do know that the Drumbeat
newsgroup is quite active.
It's not a Usenet newsgroup, but (like the other Macromedia newsgroups)
it's accessed by connecting to the Macromedia news server. Info on
configuring various newsreaders to access a new server is in:
