first, i was wondering if anyone has done any code, probably for
games, that moves a movie clip smoothly on keypress with actionscript or
another technique. i have set up a contoller button that has a mouseevent
function on keypress that moves a clip with the tell target set property
function, but when you hold down the key the clip moves, pauses a split
second then continues. i noticed on the game actionfighter
(actionfighter.com) the characters also move in this way, but i want the
clip to move smoothly, as if tweened. for example, in a game like spy
hunter, if you wanted to control the car with the left and right arrows, you
wouldn't want the car to move in this awkward manner. any ideas's? is it
even possible?
