Redstar,

Firstly, thanks for getting back to me. Since writing, I have been getting
to grips with ASP. This is because I have been asked to do EVERYTHING!

The database guy I told you about will not be participating in this sites
creation. I plan to learn what I need to learn (minimum) and go for it.
Please stick with me on this one. I know I have huge task in front of me,
and I don't know how well the programming side is going to fit in with me.
Please don't tell me I have no chance. I am now more determined than ever
to wrap this up.

I was going to tackle it like this: Firstly spend today getting down with
the ASP and spend how ever long to get to grips with sorting out the
database and the server. ( I think it is going to be MS Access but I don't
even have a copy yet!)
Once I sort that out and feel that I understand what is happening, I will
turn to the action scripting. This is another area that I will be calling
on my fellow flashers, but not yet. I have the layout of the site almost
complete, and I will decide how many results I want displayed at a time.

Another question that I have is this: The site will be for two purposes.
For people to search for suppliers and for suppliers to enter their details.
I intend to have some sort of form to collect names and addresses and
details of products. This will be filled in by suppliers. I am assuming
that this is still possible with Flash. It will be able to send this data
to the corresponding tables on the DB, won't it?? I am also thinking about
a Post Code / ZIP code linking system. This will somehow take the suppliers
code and then hopefully insert it into a hyperlink or whatever. That
hyperlink will be linked to a map showing the area for that post code. When
someone is searching for the supplier, they get an address in front of them
and the option to see a map. This is where the hyperlink with the post code
will be used. (when connecting to the map, the URL must contain the Post
Code so the correct area comes up) Are you still with me?!

Sorry for rabbeting on and thank you for your advice so fat. See what you
make of this, or anyone else for that matter, and get back to me.

Cheers redstar
