Yet, he thinks, can a Mac Daddy  really fall for a Wintathel Grrrl?  

Could he give up his True Plug'n'Play lifestyle? Would she experience 

multiple-monitor envy?


And what of their future little processors?  Would they upgrade only once 

in the 13th year, or once every year? Would they run them full-on, or 

would they clip (ouch!) the L2 cache? Would they add eight tiny new 

programs over the course of a week each year, or would they install two 

or three really big ones once a year? Would the holiday windows display a 

B-Tree or an Explorer? Would they teach from the Old CISC, or from the 

New RISC? Would they suffer exclusion from platform purists? Can Linux or 

BeOS really offer them enough common applications?


So many obstacles in an intollerant world. . .
