Hi, James.  Highlight the cat & hit F8, convert to symbol & choose "button".

Double click the cat (now a button) & choose "edit" (the pencil at the

bottom), then move the cat movie clip over to the "hit" state of the button.

(Do this by highlighting the black dot in the "over" state of the timeline,

then click 'n hold, and drag it over to the "hit" frame.)  Open the library

& pull out the static version of the cat & put it in the "up" stage of the

button.  Now, make sure there is a keyframe in the "over" state of the

button (click on that second frame & hit F6) & import your "meow"

(file...import)...then double click on the frame that is the "over" state &

click on the "sound" tab for that frame and pick the imported "meow.wav".
