If you are using IE, you can disable the plugin without uninstalling it. Go
to Preferences>Web Browser>Web Content. You will see an option for "Enable
Plug-ins". de-select it, press ok and relaunch your browser. Now you will
see what users w/o the plug-in see. When you're done just re-select it!

I'm using internet explorer on Mac, but I imagine that it works the same way
on PC. Sorry, don't know about Netscape.
