Another question, it appears that Flash will easily communicate with a db on
an NT platform using ASP as the connector, but what about connection to a
traditional SQL db via Perl or another CGI method on a tradition Unix
platform? I am guessing that I could create my flash movie and create a
form or whatever and use the Post or Get method to call an external Perl CGI
script. I have seen this done for stuff like mail forms, but was wondering
if anyone has done something on a larger scale? I was thinking along the
lines of an E-commerce site connecting to a SQL database for their products,
etc.
Best regards,
Tim

check the source files at . . .

Subject: FLASH: Using Flash with Database?
Hi,
I am new to Flash and I'd like to ask how to use Flash to Get/Post data
with an MS Access database stored in a web server. I can use ASP or
Cold Fusion. I tried several times with no success. I am almost
convinced that Flash doesn't load variables from text files tha don't
have a ".txt" extension.
Have I missed something? Or do I have to use Generator?
TIA.
