Yea, set it then hide the control panel to another location. It should still

hold the settings as long as there is a preference file. I believe that you

only need the control paned to set it up. If you hide it somewhere they

can't find it, then they won't be able to change the settings anymore.

However, In my experience.. if kids can't mess with something, then they

will move onto other things.. and there are worse things than playing with a

control panel!


If you really want to keep your control panel in the folder... then just

make it into an invisible icon and they won't see it anymore, but you will

know it's there.
