I've found that the ActiveX component for Flash resides in the

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MACROMED\FLASH folder unders Windows 98 ('95 should be the

same, NT will probably be different).


Backup the OCX file here and delete/rename the original and you should be

able to download the new version. (NOTE: Close all instances of IE before

trying to rename or delete this file).


As a side note, I now have r7 OCX, and r26 OCX, but would like a r25 OCX if

anyone has one (right click on the OCX, Properties, will tell you version

number). Anyone want to post all the versions somewhere?
