(1) You may be adding less than a clean bitmap (high-quality jpeg, e.g.)? If so,
try with the original bitmap; allow Flash to do the jpeg conversion internally
(you set the quality for publishing).
(2) Bitmaps and resizeable movies do not mix well. But you probably knew that.
