I'll use Mr. Happy Fish as an example Manish . . .
I wanted a fish that was interactive, as in his fins move, dorsal and
hands/side fins, eyeballs, and other assorted objects on this fish, and I
wanted to make the fish move...
I started by drawing, it got pretty intricate.
The object here was to create a pretty fish and make it move.
i.e.: I grouped each section of say the fin, side fin, named it as a graphic
copy the original design, as it looks when I originally drew.
put it on the bottom layer in a movie clip, add 3 more layers, put all the
named graphics in order of their appearance
(*this is easier for me to remember when I proceed to animate it)
With each graphic on it's own layer, I skew it, scale it, and then as close
as possible get it back to the original shape, but Not the same as the first
frame. This was done so it could be looped as seamlessly as
possible........without that jumpy, ah I see where it stops and starts look
to it!
In each movie clip: i.e.: sdfinmc(sidefin movie clip) in the last frame
go to frame 1 and play
Now duplicate that process with each part of the fish. Each time bringing in
the completed movie clip, flip it horizontally or vertically which ever the
case may be.
I use the properties for the object to get them the same size and in the
corresponding space. As in: the left fin is 151.4 width, copy/copy paste in
front, flip using the scale tool, pull it so it flips and then input the
correct measurement. Wala you have identical opposite movie clips doing the
same motion. Important, when you want you fish to swim in one spot! He's
facing you.........take a look at it, you'll understand.
He's under the NW button!

Mary Brzys
