FLASH: text field - targeting

Hi all, further to previous posts I now

continue........

After students have placed text in textfields 1,2 and

3 on screens 1,2 and 3 respectively the combined text

is place into textfield4 on screen 4; fine, this I can

do. However, the combined text from fields 1,2,and

3extend beyond the height of the movie which I cannot

alter and the I cannot decrease the font any further.

I found a scrolling text box tutorial (I have yet to

locate the source-something Ifound several weeks ago)

which is made up of 2 moviclips:

Instance: mc1- is on the main timeline.

Instance: mc2- is inside mc1 

Mc2 has textfield4 the target for textfields 1,2 and

3.

The script is on a frame in the main timeline:

mc1 has the arrows that control the mc2

Begin Tell Target ("/mc1/mc")

      Set Variable: "TextField4" = TextField1 &

newline &  TextField2 & newline & TextField3  

End Tell Target

Stop


Previously when textfield4 was on the main timeline I

just needed:


Set Variable: "TextField4" = TextField1 & newline & 

TextField2 & newline & TextField3.


..this worked.


Any clues as to why I cannot correctly target

"TextField4" now that it sits inside ("/mc1/mc")?
