that has come up on a lot of lists a lot of times - i can't remember if it
came up here...
it boils down to this:
the click() method on a submit button is really a hack that is supported
only in IE.
in other words - yes, but only for one browser on one platform (you will run
into communication problems between flash and the form on Mac).
just hook up your cgi directly to flash - it's easy.
the only good reason to *try* to control the form with flash is for a file
upload. in this case, you can either make the user paste in the code
manually (poor usability), or just use html for that part of the form. IMHO,
having a bullet-proof app is much more important than a seamless, 100% flash
FE; so there is no option but HTML for a file upload form.
