Hi Mike,

You would be better publishing it as an EXE rather than a SWF - for people
that don't have Flash player installed. You could then set it to go full
screen with no scaling -

Use large rectangles filled with the background colour (hidden when you are
developing the movie) to hide stuff off the edges.

This might be a basic question, but how do you keep the SWF movie from being
shrunk or enlarged? I have a flash file that will be used as a presentation
on a CD. I just want the viewer to see what I intend them to see - when I
move the scroll bar the outer edges can be seen.
