I couldn't technically evaluate it myself, but I know that engineers here
have been checking into this. So far it seems theoretical and I haven't
heard of anyone being able to make such a damaged SWF for a particular
platform, but I do know that other copies of this thread have been under
research here.
If there's something to it then expect some word on the site soon... if it
doesn't have practical implications then we may not hear anything.
(btw, if you could please *not copy* my words here to other lists then that
would be great... if you know of other people who are concerned about the
copies of this thread then I'd like to visit them personally and listen,
thanks.)
Summary: Any suggestion of a potential security problem is a serious issue,
and must be fully investigated and addressed. It's in the best interest of
everyone to do the right thing. This one's under investigation, but no
final word yet.
