FLASH: Flash5: Swap Depths

Does anyone know if you can use variables when using the swapDepths

actionscript? I have tried it a couple of different ways, but only works

when I type in the MC's name.


I start out with swapDepths(target) is this the same as swapDepths(depth)?

FlowerA1.swapDepths(FlowerA2); (works)

FlowerA1.swapDepths(ypos); where ypos is set by the plants _y position

(doesn't work)

name.swapDepths(FlowerA2); where name is set by the MC _name. (doesn't work)


I have traced ypos and name variables and they are being set. Can anyone

tell me what is going on?
