Put up a URL with some examples of what you've done and include it in
your sig file. Keep an eye out on this list and others -- people are
often looking for other Flashers to collaborate with, but the best way
to show that you can do what you say is to display it on the web
somewhere. Mention that you do web design to everyone you meet ;-) and
follow up if someone expresses interest (another good reason to have a
URL -- as proof that you can do what you say). If necessary, put up a
freebie site for someone -- once you've done one great site, you'll find
more work.

Good luck!
Helen

My question is, how the heck can I get a start-off job in the field? I have an excellent resume with examples bu I don't seem to get anywhere. I want to freelance and feel I can do it. But I need the chance to prove it. I'm currently finishing up my BA and only have one course, so time's not an issue. Suggestions?
