Thanks James. I realized that what I was doing wrong was tabbing out of
the field after typing in a new value (in which case freehand just set
it back to whatever dropdown value was previously set) instead of
hitting Enter. Picky, picky freehand! Anyway, thanks to you and Joyce
of Chayli Design for letting me know I could do this, and to Ken S for
the list recommendation!
