Thoroughly off topic, but since it's tax time for some of us...

You're right, your analogy doesn't really wash. Your donation of time (worth
$5000) is actually tax deductible if you get a receipt from whomever you donated
to as long as they're [special note to Chaoz to remember this sentence when you
read the end of this email] non-profit (which most schools are). And while
you're at it you can donate your back collection of out-of-date design rags and
get a tax deduction on that too.
You do, however, hit the nail on the head re: macromedia's sales tax liability.
For the record, in regards to the original topic, I would choose not to look a
gift horse in the mouth.
Also, Chaoz, your original subject should've included the word "they're" instead
of "there." It's a common grammar error. You meant "they are" instead of "there"
as in "over there" or "there is a God." Or maybe you meant to combine with the
posts re: Macromedia's stock price and you should've written your subject as
"Macromedia thinks there is no GOD."
Also, for the record, I am unaware of any God in any religious communications
indicating an interest in copyright law.
