even better, you can run acrobat reader 4.0 from the cd without 

installing it.  i'm not familiar with opening external files with flash, 

but last year i created a little director launcher that simply closed 

itself and opened the a pdf with the reader running from cd without 

install, and it worked like a charm, and it was fast, too.  the 

director lingo allows you to specify a path to open an application 

and a file.  as long as "FSCommands for projectors...particularly 

'Exec'." that mr. caines mentioned allow this functionality, running 

acrobat reader from cd might be a slick solution here.
