The only problem I have run into with FLIX is that you cannot import DivX
(MPEG-4) into it. Everything else seemed to work fine - mpg, mov, avi, mp3
even... the nice thing about it is you can convert a movie and it will
export a swf and an mp3/wav file of the track. Oftentimes the filesize was
much smaller than the original as well.

Has anyone tried Flix, from WildForm (http://www.wildform.com)?

Their demos are impressive -- looks like you can import pretty much any
audio/video format and export Flash movies.

sorry pascal.. you cant run video in flash like you can director.

you have to kind of fake it, the widely used method is to export each video
frame from the video then import all those frames into flash, and pop an
audio track onto it..

might put a damper on your plans:( sorry
