Flash 2.0 bug?

Dear Flashers...


I've been making Flash animations for a while and have never had this

problem... but this one has me stumped and its getting me down because

i've absolutely got to figure it out to save a lot of good work.


I'm creating a Flash movie about the history of the internet. Everything

was going well until the review group suggested that i make a

navigational device for people to be able to back up in the movie (prior

to this you could only go forward with a button). So i spent a couple of

hours today replacing the old button with a two new ones - one for

forwards and one for backwards. While i'm working in Flash it works like

a charm - but when i export it only the forwards button works. Is there

some kind of bug anyone knows about in Flash 2 that won't allow a button

to jump to a previous scene? or is there something i'm doing wrong?

I tried seperating the buttons onto seperate layers but still nothing.


any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
