No, not quite. Aftershock is Aftershock, and Java is Java. They're two
different things.

Aftershock lets you choose media-substitution schemes for deprived
browsers. It also helps you generate the HTML. It can also make animated
GIFs from your Flash work too. It only lets you *choose* whether to use
Java or not.

Aftershock 2.0 works great with Flash 3.0 files.

The current Flash Java Player can not reproduce Flash 3 effects such as
transparency. If you're going to Java, then use a SWF 2.0 file.


(I didn't understand the original post's "i turned my flash movie into
aftershock but it did not work it just comes out blank"... from the info
provided I can't guess what's been done there.)
