Web Developer/Art Director Job#: SR031
Location: San Francisco, CA
(FULL-TIME: PERMENANT)
Summary
The Web Developer/Art Director is responsible for the look and feel of
ShockRave, Macromedia's new entertainment site. This is a full-time
position that reports to the Executive Producer for ShockRave.
Responsibilities
Personally create and update the graphics and interface for the ShockRave
web site.
Manage out-of-house design and production of all visual elements for the
site, including navigation, content highlights, ad banners, sponsor logos,
and animations.
Ensure that out-of-house work is consistent with the ShockRave look and
Macromedia's visual language.
Requirements
Strong design, communication, and organizational skills.
A minimum of three years as a Web Developer or Art Director on a
high-traffic web site with experience directing teams of graphic designers.
Extensive experience with web/multimedia authoring tools (Flash, Photoshop,
Shockwave, Director, and so forth)
Must have the ability to write clean HTML code.
Familiarity with a wide range of design styles and the ability to create
graphics that match a variety of different requirements.
A solid understanding of design, typography, style guidelines, and branding.
Ability to respond promptly and effectively and meet aggressive deadlines
in a fast-paced work environment.
Fluent with Windows 95 and Mac OS, as well as standard e-mail,
word-processing, and database programs (such as Eudora, Word, Filemaker,
and so forth).
